“Wait, is she really a princess?” The lady confirmed. I didn’t know why it shocked me as much as it did, if I’m being completely honest, there were still monarchies all around the world. But everything felt a bit off here than all the others that I had seen or heard about. In here, everything was a bit more 16th century, a bit more like the Tudors.

“The Princess only trusts her immediate servants with her jewelry.” That made me surprisingly proud. “It is actually an honor, even though it does not feel like one at times.”

“Thank you for saying that,” I snuck a glance at her, “I am so thankful for having you as my mentor here.”

“Well, we will be spending an awfully lot of time together,” she bursted into laughter. “So, where are you from?” Lady Jasmine, asked.

“Louisiana,” replied, without turning back to her. I just wanted to be done with the dusting job. “Never heard of that land. Who is the King?”
