Ever since I had arrived in this world, I had been screwed over and over. How stupid I had to be, really? When would I ever learn not to help these people?

I got startled by the loud noise of a flock of women at my doorstep. I could hear them giggling, I could hear them mumbling. I assumed they heard about my arrival, and they were simply gossiping about me. From the very first morning that I woke up, I had a strong sense that I was going to like my new role as a princess. The fact that I had gained this newfound freedom did not sit well with me. It was heavy, and the price tag was excruciatingly steep. My goals had transformed me into the person I had dreaded becoming the most: someone worse than the Sorceress, someone more self-absorbed than the Lycan Beast, someone worse than the Sorceress. I was interested in how Lady Nia felt at that particular moment, when she discovered that her marriage to the terrible king had become legally binding. I was interested in learning how she was feeling. If she was afraid by the appearance of the Lycan Beast, or if she was scared by his snide remarks, I was interested to find out. Alternatively, it's possible that she would be genuinely pleased with you because you are a carbon copy of her, both inside and out." If I'm being completely honest, I thought I'd get to spend more time with him now that I was married, but I couldn't complain about the additional freedom I'd gained.
