Chapter Eleven

These past few days had been a battle for Naomi and she had emerged victorious.

It hadn’t been easy but she was a fighter and it was going to take far more than that to put her down.

The flu had hit her out of nowhere and she had been put out of commission longer than she would have liked.

It felt good to be fully back in the clinic. She was sitting at her desk in her office and going through some patients’ files.

For the past few days she had only shown up for a couple of hours before heading home or not turning up at all.

Anita and Dan had been effectively holding down the fort; they were such great nurses and wonderful people.

Sophie had also been a great help. She wasn’t just a receptionist but also a core member of the Paw Prints Clinic.

Naomi was glad to have such an awesome team. They had made her transition here so much easier.

There was also the fact that Carson was a small town and they didn’t have a lot of animal related emergencies.
