After Irene checked some of the rooms in the palace, she proceeded to check those in the community, close to the palace. I waited for Cassie to return from the restroom, but she didn’t.

I began to wonder what was happening, so I decided to look for her. While I looked for her, I couldn’t help but wonder what had happened.

I called her name in front of every restroom on the ground floor, but I got no response from her.

‘Did she go back to her chamber?’ I wondered as I also started climbing the stairs.

While I walked through the hallways, I walked past some maids, and instead of their normal way of greeting and referencing me, I got some strange stares from them.

They mumbled their greetings like they had been forced, and one of them even had the guts to look at me with disgust.

I furrowed my eyes as I stopped walking and stared at their backs as they walked away.
