Glowing

Two hours passed and Nicole was standing by the window with a sullen look on her face.

They were standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, in the bedroom, overlooking the sunset.

"It's almost my twentieth birthday." She said to herself and then turned around. Roman was standing behind with his arms folded.

His muscles bulged and Nicole's eyes trailed over them.

"Yeah…" Roman answered simply to her words. His eyes were glued to her for any changes or sudden things that might happen.

Ever since she passed out in the dungeon, he was just getting to talk to her. Also, he didn't want to force her to say anything to him.

However, she went on to say, "The past few days have been a blur to me." She said.

"Yeah? What did you remember?" Roman asked, with his brows raised.

"I'm sorry for calling you a murderer, again." She said and Roman's eyes widened.
