Taking The Lead

Roman watched Nicole run down the hallway. He just wanted to make sure she got to Jamie, safely.

The elders were around and he didn't trust them one bit.

A few minutes later, he mind-linked Jamie, "Did she get to you?" He asked and immediately Jamie answered.

"Yes, she is here." Jamie answered, in a shaky tone while she looked worriedly at Nicole.

"Right, see her back to the bedroom, safely." He said and Jamie did as told.

Also, she was greatly worried about being needed at the base.

On the other hand, Roman began to march outside the mansion. He just wanted Nicole to be safe as he didn't trust the elders around. If he had taken Nicole back to the bedroom, he would be reluctant to leave.

Also, his bedroom connected to his study had high-security measures.

As soon as Roman got out, a car was already parked outside. Turning sideways, he could see Jamie rushing toward him.
