The Night Visitor

Flashback

Lisa approached the parked car slowly when she sighted her father’s fuming figure from where she stood.

“Oh no!” She mouthed, before scurrying to the car. She stood in between him and her security guard whom her dad was berating, forcing a smile on her lips. “Hi, Dad.”

He didn’t return her smile. “I didn’t know you now have enough time to prank your guards and report to the car thirty minutes after school.”

Lisa hung her head. “I’m sorry, Dad. Pamela asked me to accompany her to get some ice cream and I needed one too! I didn’t know the line at the store will be too long.” She didn’t add that she met the first boy that actually approached her without fear in school. It would piss her father off more and who knows if he would go after the poor boy.

He sighed. “Get into the car, Monalisa.” Her father only addressed her by her full name whenever he was mad at her.

“It’s not his fault, Dad! Moreover, I am sixteen! I should be allowed to go to wherever I want to!” it annoyed
