Lulu wondered if she was dreaming. She dared to meet David's eyes but they were fixed on the woman.

She was in a red body tight dress and very bright red lipstick made her bright eyes stand out.

"Why are you here?" David's cold voice made Lulu shudder.

"I invited her over." Linda said.

David flickered his eyes to where his mother was seated, "and why would you do that? This is a family meeting."

"She was almost my daughter in law five years ago, I highly consider her a part of the family. I saw her on the news and thought it would be good if we could all gather here like this."

"I'm so sorry to cause a commotion," Rose put on a sad face, pressing one palm to her chest.

"Nonsense!" Linda smiled at her, "take your seat!"

Linda always wanted a daughter in law like Rose and she thought that seeing her might cause her son to change his mind. Surely there was a little love left in his heart.
