24_ The phone call

After Derrick went into his bedroom, he had his bath. Then, he walked out and wore his evening robe, preparing to go downstairs for dinner with his mother. Derrick decided to phone Alexa to check if her phone was reachable.

"Hello," Derrick said as soon as the phone call connected.

"Hi, good evening, sir," Alexa replied. Derrick questioned her, "Do you know who is speaking?" Meanwhile, Alexa was at her own house. She replied, "Yes, I am familiar with your voice, sir."

"Do you live alone? I thought you reside with your parents?" Derrick asked, surprised by Alexa's response.
