Alice’s ears were ringing as she stared at Grayson, unable to move or speak.
“That can’t be right.” Leia broke the silence. “Why would UNITY hurt Helena? And… and besides! UNITY won’t hurt anyone, let alone kill a child!”
Alice thought of Detective Sergio, on how he did not tell her that they knew something. Of course, he would not tell her. She’s the daughter of the UNITY’s founder. Maybe he was already suspecting their family.
“Why would they kill Helena? It doesn’t make any sense!” Leia continued to blabber.

The parents of Helena told the police that Helena would not usually go home for the weekends due to her work at the said pizzeria, so they did not bother when she failed to come home on Sunday. However, Helena did not show up at their house the following day. Moreover, the manager at Sally’s Pizzeria told Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow that Helena did not come to work on Sunday.
