WITH the bouquet in her hands, Lyzza walked down the red carpet that led to the altar, where Gideon was standing in his gorgeous white tuxedo while staring directly at her.

“You have a very handsome husband-to-be, sweetheart. My granddaughter really has his eyes,” her mother whispered silently while walking beside her.

“Mom.” She giggled and held her arm more tightly. “I’ll only get married. It’s not like I will get out of the country and we won’t see each other for ten years.”

Her mother gave her a tiny pinch from behind. “You’re silly!”

She didn’t respond because she knew her mother must be really happy for her and her daughter. Summer waved cutely at her when they passed by the kid, sitting right beside Gideon’s parents. The little girl even gave her a flying kiss that made her laugh.
