Chapter Eight: Dinner

IT's already seven in the evening and Ruby is busy preparing for dinner. She's enjoying of what she's doing and is really planning to make it delicious so she can impress Adam.

She was about to stir the caldereta that she was cooking, when she heard a sudden knock at the door. So, she lowered the heat of what

she was cooking and hurriedly went to the door.

As she opened the door, she was taken aback to see Adam standing outside her apartment. He was still dressed in the same clothes he had on in since morning, which made her certain that Adam did an over time in the company. His face clearly showed signs of exhaustion.

"Hey!" she greeted him. She look around and opened the door wider. "Get in."

When he finally entered, she immediately confronted Adam. "What are you doing here? I thought you were mad and didn't want to see me? Besides, I already mentioned earlier that I would just send the dinner I cooked for you."
