Sam's eyes immediately filled up with tears.

"It's Ian?" Karen said and Sam nodded.

Karen walked up her and put her arms around her. They hugged for some seconds before Karen helped her dress and the two sat down to talk.

"I only found out two days ago," Sam was saying, "I shouldn't have let it happen.."

Karen squeezed Sam's hand in hers and said, "Hey, don't regret it. You only acted on your feelings and it's unfortunate things won't end up in your favor."
