Chapter 15

Kissing Byron was a decision I made after careful consideration. We were playing the part of a loving couple, it would be weird if we didn't kiss and therefore ruining our previous performance. I had to prep myself expecting Byron to take the initiative but he stared at me helplessly. I had to take matters into my own hands when he didn't move.

If I was asked how it was sharing a kiss with Byron in front of all those people, I honestly don't remember. I was too busy panicking about the kiss to feel anything.

Ever since I kissed Byron, my heart had been sent into an overdrive. It was racing manically and I couldn't tell if it was my body's reaction to him or a symptom of my heart disease.

Byron helped me into the car. My heart didn't seem to be calming down soon. It definitely was a symptom.

"Are you okay?" I heard Byron ask. He sounded so far away.

"Yes." I replied, looking out the window in an attempt to hide my tears. My hands started trembling.

"Are you sure?" He asked again.

"Yes
