CASSIUS’ POV

April Arlington. What a bitch.

I had thought I could find a use for her but she was not only useless, she was also a hindrance. I handled her with lenience since she was my mate and I naturally had a soft spot for her, but that spot was hardening. I could not let one silly omega ruin everything I had worked hard to achieve.

‘She is carrying my pup in her womb,’ my wolf growled. ‘You better think things through.’

My pup? That gave me more reason to end things with her. A pup with an omega? No, no way. Not when there was a woman with a strong bloodline beside me. I could not risk a litter of omegas when I had a woman who would give me alphas.

‘Cassius, this is our pup we’re talking about. Our blood!’ My wolf shouted.

‘If there really is a child in her belly, I will kill it,’ I vowed to my wolf. My words stunned him into silence so I continued. ‘You brought this on yourself. I told you never to touch her but you went against my words. This is your punishment.’
