Aliyah

His statements sent shivers down my spine, yet I completely trusted him. I expected Brayden to kiss me again, as he did at the dining table. But just as I was melting beneath his intense look, he lay beside me, his arms serving as a pillow.

For a couple of minutes, we just lay in silence, but then I remembered that he mentioned something about his issue in the pack. I turned to face him, curious to hear what was on his mind. "What's been going on with the pack, Brayden?" I asked, hoping to offer him some support.

Brayden sighed, gazing down at me with a sad smile. "Aliyah, leave it to me," he said softly, pinching my chin. "I appreciate your concern, but I don't want you to worry about it. I'll handle everything and make sure the pack is taken care of."
