I thought I would wake up in Ivik's arms. But when I opened my eyes, the other side of the bed was empty. I put my back against the headboard and curled the blanket around my sore body. Outside, the sun was already shining and its rays were sneaking into the room through the thick curtain.

Ivik Clayton, my childhood best friend, was the son of Alpha Gregor of the Crimson Groove Pack, the largest wolf shifter territory here in Wyoming. On the other hand, I was the daughter of Alpha Gregor's warrior, who was killed in a pack war when I was a baby.
