Chapter 49: The Decision

Callum went back to his office with a sleeping Caleb in his arms. His son cried and cried as he pleaded with him to marry Bea. He should not have brought the child there if he knew that his father would pressure him into marriage on that day.

He thought that Caleb was mature enough but he was still a child. There was someone whom he wanted to be his mom and when he was presented with the possibility that the person he wanted could be replaced by some stranger, he felt afraid and desperate.

He did not expect that he would want Bea that bad. Truth be told, he did not even have any problems if Bea were to be his bride because the woman had all the qualities that he would want for Caleb’s mom. The problem was that Bea also had her life. He did not want to tie her down just for Caleb’s greed.
