CHAPTER FOUR

After dinner, Kate let Frank escort her up to her room then they said their good nights and parted. That night for the first time in a long while she slept with a smile on her face and every night after that.

Spending time with Frank and his son made Kate feel alive once again. They would walk by the beach every evening and in the afternoons they'd take a rented boat out into the water or simply just have lunch together and Kate would find herself thinking, if all that was just a dream she wouldn't want to wake up from it at all and it might hurt more than she imagined when it' time to say goodbye. Frank was a kind man, he loves his son more than anything in the world, they've known each other only a few weeks and Kate felt like she'd known Frank for eternity so when he kissed her one evening after having drinks in his penthouse suite, Kate welcomed the gesture, savoured it for as long as it would last. She'd never been with another man besides her
