CHAPTER FIVE

"Kate get some fuel there's none left!" her mother called from the business centre they owned and operated which was strategically located by the road side unmissable by passers-by.

Kate saw that all the computers had shut down the stupid PHCN were at it again she muttered then went to the back room to get a gallon. She crossed to the other side of the street to the black market vendor on the road side in his little kiosk, there was no time to go to the filling station as the shop was overrun by students who are impatient to get their JAMB registrations done.

"Ba ni three litres. Akwai changee?" Give me three litres. Do you have any change? She showed him the one thousand Naira note and he nodded.

While Kate was waiting as the man proceeded to fill her requested litres someone wrapped their arms around her legs and the feeling of deja vu washed over her.

"Aunty Kate!" The boy peered up at her and recognition slammed into her gut leaving her breathle
