Chapter 7: The Genesis's punishment.

The celebrant got up and held the torch high, and the others stood around him, their burning torches raised to the sky.

"We accept the terms of Genesis. If this is not true, the body will die, and the soul will go to hell." The celebrant shouted.

The crowd in the magic circle chanted in unison: "We accept Genesis's terms. If this is not true, the body will die, and the soul will go to hell."

Outside the magic circle, the Vampire King roared like a mad dog.

"Genesis, go away. Lowly humans, you won't be saved by him."

The people around the celebrant Marius prayed with one heart, looking forward to the light in the night sky. That is the only one who can save them from the clutches of the vampires. They believe in this powerful god and vow to leave humanity's fate in the hands of Genesis.

Feeling the sincerity and firm faith of those who performed the sacrificial ritual, the booming voice again resounded throughout the sky.

"I accept your oath. From now on, humans will be the masters of the earth."

The Vampire King raised his black sword toward the sky, roaring.

"Genesis, we are the masters of the earth. Humans are just an inferior species; they don't deserve to be on our level."

"Dominic, your ancestors were favored by me. I give the vampires the power to protect all beings on earth. But you have done wrong what I gave you. You destroy other species, including humans."

The rumbling voice made the Vampire King tremble with fear. But he was used to being the lord of all things on earth, so he still kept his bossy look.

"I do not accept the lowly humans to stand on an equal footing with us."

"Of course, humans will not be equal to you because from now on, they are the masters of the earth," Genesis responded to the Vampire King.

"Humans are the masters of the earth, so what about us? What are we here?" The angry Vampire King jumped up and attacked the light with his sword.

There was a thunderclap, followed by a flash of lightning that struck the Vampire King's body, causing him to fall to the ground, his face burning like coal.

"Insolent, I am the one who created your ancestors. How dare you disrespect me!"

The Vampire King scrambled to his feet; he raised his sword toward the sky, his eyes bloodshot.

"Even if you created my ancestors, I will not allow humans to become masters of the earth."

"Dominic, with what vampires have done, you are no longer masters of the earth, nor are you allowed to live on earth. I will open the portal for you to live in another dimension. There are no humans, no creatures as rich as the earth; that is my punishment for the vampire race."

The voice was so loud that the vampires were afraid to swarm around the Vampire King. And the crowd of humans standing in the magic circle sat in fear, huddled together, looking up at the light in the sky.

"We don't want to go anywhere; the earth is ours, where our ancestors lived. Why are humans allowed to stay, and we have to go somewhere else?"

The Vampire King shouted, his voice like the roar of a tiger. The vampires around him also ferociously bared their fangs, raising their claws toward the light.

"Since vampires have destroyed other species, you must accept my punishment. Ten days from now, I will open the portal to take you to a new place." Genesis said.

"We're not going anywhere." All the vampires shouted. They raced towards the light as if to pull Genesis out to kill him.

"If you remain on earth, I will strip you of all your powers. Do you want to stay on earth with only human-like powers or go to a place where you still retain all your power and you can dominate that place? I give you ten days to think. I only open the portal once; anyone who doesn't make it in time will have to accept the loss of all strength."

Genesis' threat worried the Vampire King. The creator god is the Creator of the ancestors of all species on earth, so he wants to remove the power of vampires is possible.

He looked at the people inside the magic circle with bloodshot red eyes, then raised his face to the sky and roared:

"Okay, we will think about it carefully. We will have an answer for you in ten days."

The celebrant Marius recognized the Vampire King's menacing gaze. Frightened, he clasped his hands in front of his chest, looking toward the light in the sky.

"O God of Creation. During those ten days, how should we protect ourselves against the power of vampires?"

"I have received your angels and prayers; I will protect you from the clutches of vampires." The voice echoed across the sky.

A beam of fire-red light immediately enveloped the children sitting around the celebrant. When the light went out, the children were gone. Only the old celebrant Marius stood like a wooden statue on the ground.

The light and the children disappeared, causing the women to weep bitterly. They stretched their arms up to the sky as if they wanted to reclaim their minor children.

The sky was dark, with only torches and the magic circle emitting a faint light.

The Vampire King angrily attacked the magic circle with only a few glimmers of light left. The celebrant and the magicians were exhausted; their magic power could not withstand the attack of the vampires.

When the magic circle lost its effect, the celebrant and the magicians fell to the ground, their mouths filled with fresh blood, and their eyes looked up at the night sky for the last time and closed forever.

The vampires roared through the magic circle, charging at the frightened crowd huddled together. They lost the protection of the magicians, although Genesis had promised to protect them, but facing the fierce vampires, they still trembled. The men quickly hugged their wives and children to protect them, and the women and children closed their eyes, not daring to look at the fierce vampires.

When the weak humans were trembling in fear, thinking they would die from the vampire's claws, light emitted from their bodies suddenly pushed the vampires away. It was the light of the Sun god; it burned the vampires' claws and made them scream in pain.

Realizing the God of Creation protected them, the healthy men immediately stood up, holding hands, forming a protective circle for the women and children inside. They looked at the bloodthirsty vampires with defiant eyes.

The Vampire King swept aside his vampire subordinates, raised his black sword high, and charged with all his might toward the trembling crowd. He did not believe that the god of Creation had left and that he could not defeat the humans who were protected only by the little remaining power of the god.

But when the sword slashed down, there was a sudden burst of bright light from the crowd, forming a solid circle protecting them inside. The blade seemed to hit a stone wall and bounced back, causing the Vampire King's hands to numb in pain.

He stared at the circle of light protecting the crowd with blood-red eyes, roaring:

"Genesis, you wait; I will chop you into a hundred pieces one day. Is this lowly human being worthy of your protection?"

The God of Creation was no longer here, but his power manifested through the halo of light that protected the multitudes of humans was present in front of the Vampire King, making his blood boil.

The Vampire King knew that even if he continued to stay here, he would not be able to kill the humans protected by the god. He swung his sword and destroyed the houses around the square to vent his anger.

The vampires imitated their king, furiously destroyed the entire city, razed all the still intact houses, and then returned to the Vampire King's castle on a high mountain.
