But as soon as I had started the engine of the car, Jackson called out to me, his voice urgent as he pointed a finger towards the Wendigo monster running away in the distance. And my werewolf instinct kicked in that I must follow Eric, no matter what the cost.

"Where are you going?" Jackson yelled at me.

"Get away from here, Jackson!" I yelled back. "Take her to the hospital." Without a second thought, I dashed out of the car and morphed into my werewolf form once more, with Mr. James following close behind.

We tore down the city streets, leaving the normal world behind as we slipped into the realm of werewolf vision, where scents and sounds were amplified beyond human comprehension.
