The Elevator Knows

The last thing my wolf wants to happen is to make things get more complicated, so I voluntarily raise my hands and put them behind my head without removing my glare from Conrad.

But I was simply holding onto my werewolf instinct that Conrad and the mad standing behind me were smart enough to do anything reckless knowing my claws and fangs are one step away from his body.

"Please, let us go," I beg. "Karen and I are werewolves but not your enemies. I swear, we simply want to live a normal life with the humans."

"Too late for that, young man," says Conrad before he crawled away from me. "Your little wolf already killed one of us. We always hunt those who hunt us."

There he goes with his hunter's nonsense code again. It was their fucking fault Karen murdered his men in cold blood. They brought this to themselves. It's just we did not expect Karen's wolf to emerge like an explosive.
