SOPHIE’S POV

The plan has been set in place and the next thing was to carry it out. The first thing we wanted to do was find out where King Magnus was last seen and one of the Elders volunteered to find that out for us.

I returned to the castle with this thought in mind and I was more anxious than ever. When I started thinking about how to bring King Magnus back, it was okay and I loved the thought but when the plan had been set in place, the reality hit me and the fear of truly losing him was slowly overwhelming me.

Without knowing, a tear trickled down my face but I quickly wiped it off. It would be okay, Magnus wouldn’t leave me like this and I was sure of what I felt in my heart at the moment.

I returned to my room but the night was longer than usual as I couldn’t wait for the Elder to call me and report back to me. My heart wouldn’t stop racing and sleeping was difficult. I kept thinking about many things until the light shone on my face and I could see it was morning already.
