Sitting up in the stands With Jen and her parents on one side, my dad on the other side, and Selena behind me. Dad was invited to come by Mr. Lockwood to come and watch as Dad used to play football in high school and college so this must feel like he’s a young man again. Selena leans forward and whispers to both Jen and me.

“What the hell happened earlier? It’s all I have been hearing about since I arrived.” Selena askes as she leans forward to talk to me from behind.

“Yeah, I wanna know the same thing.” Jen turns and looks at me, “I heard there’s college scouts here to see some of the guys play but surely it’s not that.” Oh, shit if the scouts are here for Chase if they know about him laying out Vance, he’s never going to get a scholarship and I will feel responsible.
