“Oh, Chase that is so romantic, that you will face your worst fears for the one you love. Hey Brie has James done anything like that for you?” Ocean says. “No. No, he hasn’t but it will be something I will ask him later. But hey we’re here to celebrate our girl let's party.” We all cheer and start dancing around the kitchen when one of my favorite club classics songs come on ‘I See The Light’ by Blacklite. “Oh, girl you know this is my song,” Charlotte says as I grab hold of Jen and Sel’s hands and make a circle as we sing and dance to the song. I want to include my new friends in with my old friends so we all can become a sisterhood of some sorts. As the song continues, I see the guys standing in the corner talking amongst themselves and I see my dad and Toni sitting at the table watching what is going on. I also see my dad smiling and I just love seeing that smile back on his face as we both know it has not been there for a very long time. As the party started to wind down Toni a
Savannah: Hey there hot stuff, I miss you already and you haven’t been gone that long. Did you get home safely? Chase: My beautiful girl, I missed you the second I stepped away from you. I am home safely. Is it okay to admit it’s a turn-on knowing that you care so much about me? Because it is sweetheart. What are you and the girls doing for the rest of the night? Savannah: It is okay because it’s a turn-on for me too knowing I can turn you on. LOL. The girls and I are snuggled up in our bra and panties watching shirtless sexy men. How about you? What are you doing at home without me? Chase: Oh, baby please don’t torment me with that image of you in your bra and panties but please tell me Jen is wearing more than that as that image is scarring for any brother. LOL. But what’s this about shirtless men? And what do you mean by them being sexy? Baby I’ve not shown you sexy yet, if you want sexy all you gotta do is ask sweetheart. I have the guys round for the night, we’re chilling ha
My life as I know it is over. I Savannah Jaymes Blakemoore now has no will to live. Why? Just why does my dad have to move us across the country?I am so proud of him for getting this huge promotion. But why couldn’t the job keep us here in Wake Forest, North Carolina? Why does it have to be in Santa Monica, California?I must leave the town I love, leave all my friends, my school, everything I know and love for my father’s new position as the new VP of Lockwood Finance Industries. My last day in school was the hardest. Me and my friends hugged and cried in the parking lot outside until it was time for me to go so, I climbed into my car and drove away from the school for the last time. A red Hyundai Genesis was the last gift my mom bought me before I lost her to cancer during my junior year in high school. She knew she wasn’t going to be here for when I passed my driver’s test. So, the day I passed my test my dad gave me a small black box with a red bow on top of it and a letter writt
“Hi there, Mr. Blakemoore, we were wondering, if we could join you and Savannah for a while before you leave tomorrow.” My best friends Brianna, Charlotte, and Ocean appear behind us, and I am surprised to see them.“Of course, girls come and join us.” Dad stands up to welcome them hugging each one of them as they joined us at the fire pit. “Hey guys I wasn’t expecting you until the morning to wave us off” I stand to give each of them a hug myself.“Oh, Sav we’re still doing that, we were driving by to see if you needed help with any last minute packing,” Brianna says hugging me back.“We saw the fire pit lit and knew you would be out here,” Ocean said after I hug her. Charlotte says when we hug “We’re only here for a little while and then leaving you guys for the night, we’re only here to help.”“Well that’s mighty kind of you girls thank you” Dad says in his Southern accent. “You’re just in time” I pick up my guitar, throwing the strap over my shoulder and softly strum. “Let’s sing
After a long day of driving, making a pit stop in every state we finally arrive at the hotel we’re staying in for the night. We checked in to the Whitten Inn in Elk City, Oklahoma. Got our room key, climbed back into our cars to park closer to the room, and entered our accommodation for the night. The hotel room was a standard two double bed, bathroom, basic tv, mini fridge and kettle with hot drink supplies. The bed felt comfortable, but I wouldn’t be testing that out until I’ve had a nice relaxing shower.Once I got out of the shower Dad was already snoring so loud, I don’t have to leave the bathroom to know he’s already fast asleep. I walk back into the room once I was dried and dressed in a pink tank top and white shorts with pink hearts printed on them, I felt exhausted I climbed into the bed, and I melted into the sheets they felt like clouds against my skin.Rolling onto my side I looked at the time on the digital clock on the bedside table seeing it said 02:35 my eyes felt hea
“Oh my god I’ve got the job I can’t believe it” I say to myself quietly “I’ve got the job” I cheer a little too loudly as everyone stops what they are doing to look at me or in my direction and I blush a deep crimson staining my cheeks.“Sorry” I say softly then everyone goes back to what they were doing just like nothing happened, as I hear my name get called to collect my order. So, I head to the counter to grab the coffees and put in the sugars for both me and dad with our bagels in hand too and head back to the cars at the hotel so I can tell dad the good news and we can get back on the road.We make good time on the road and arrive in Albuquerque, New Mexico just after noon. To celebrate my getting the job dad is treating me to lunch at a nice restaurant called Campo. We dined outside on their patio looking onto the kitchen gardens. While we are waiting for the waiter, we looked at the menu to decide on what we would like to order. We made up our minds just as the waiter arrived.
After thirty eight long hours from Wake Forest, North Carolina to Santa Monica, California we finally arrive at our new house late at night. The house looked beautiful lit up with its small fountain in the middle of the driveway central in front of the house and with small palm trees leading up towards the house. The moving truck was leaving as we arrived, we honked our horns and waved as we passed each other. I pull up outside the house putting the car in park, grab all I need out of the car and climb out to look at my new home as well as the surroundings. “Wow” is all I can say I’m totally lost for words. If the outside looks like this, I cannot wait to see out back and the interior design inside. Walking up the steps to the open door, I catch my breath looking round the main hall. This house is unbelievable. The big open plan kitchen diner to the left, the family room to the right with an office to the side, a marble staircase that leads upstairs and down the hallway I can see the
Driving down the street heading towards the school I make a couple of wrong turns before arriving in the school parking lot. With making them wrong turns it made me later than I had liked, especially on my first day. Climbing out of my car once I found a parking space, I grab my school bag from the back seat then lock the car, and head towards the main building.Walking through the main doors I look around at my new school and try to find my way to the school office to get my transcript, class schedule, and books. The office was an easy find thankfully. After getting my class schedule I am asked to sit and wait to speak with the school principal to discuss my transcripts.Ten minutes after talking with the principal I was dismissed to collect all my books and to go to find my locker. With my books in hand and a piece of paper with my locker number and combination written on it, I go searching.Finding my locker, I put the books I don’t need for my first two periods. Keeping hold of my
