Later, Edward parked in front of Johanne's house, feeling a chill creep into his chest as he gazed at its modesty. Though it wasn't an ugly place, it was a small house, light blue in color, with an unassuming facade. For a moment, he thought it was impossible that she lived there.

He sat in his car for over ten minutes, unsure of what he was waiting for, thinking it over and over again before getting out and knocking on her door. But after contemplating it several times, he decided to leave. However, his opinion changed when he saw her emerging from her house alone, carrying a small suitcase. Her expression clearly indicated that she wasn't doing well. In an impulsive move, he quickly got out of the car and approached her.
