I don't know how long I kept on working but I was and deep down, I was grateful that Davion hasn't called or sent for me yet. Although I still felt guilty with the way I turned him down but I couldn't help it. If he wouldn't take the initiative of staying away from me then I would do it myself.

The last thing I wanted was getting into another scandal especially now that we were both working together. He had fired his secretary because of me and it's only a matter of time before people started talking about that too. I seem to attract trouble wherever I go and it suddenly isn't funny anymore.

Time passed and I was still in that position, invested in whatever I was doing and that's when my cell phone rang. I picked it up to see Davison's name on the screen.

"Now what could he want?" I blurted out and swiped the receiver's button before placing the phone to my ears.

"Hello—"

"To my office." And with that, the call was disconnected. I struggled to understand what exactly he meant
