CHAPTER 82

I went back home from my jog, expecting to hash things out with Christian. I had sent him a text earlier, but he didn’t respond. I wasn’t expecting him to anyway, and I would much rather talk about things face to face.

“Is Christian home?” I asked Tina as I went into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

“Yeah, he didn’t go upstairs yet, so he’s probably in his office.”

“Okay thanks,” I smiled at her, already walking toward Christian’s office.

The door was slightly open and I was about to push it open and take a peek in when I heard voices.

“You brought this upon yourself, you did! Don’t you dare try to blame Hazel for anything.”

I frowned at the mention of my name, and inched closer to the door so I could hear better. Christian sounded angry, and I wondered who he was arguing with. It was probably not a good time to try to have a conversation with him, not when he sounded that way.
