She wiped the counter as she watched the clock impatiently. As much as Brooklyn liked her bakery, she was tired and she was sure her workers were too. She stood, handing change and a bag of treats to a customer. She was so focused that she didn’t notice who walked in, but he sure as hell noticed her. He stood at the line stealing glances at her, and to him she was the most beautiful girl he had ever met.“Good morning, what can I get you?” she smiled, asking the next customer. She couldn’t help but take in the small features of his face. The short dark hair, captivating hazel green eyes, the freckles scattered on his nose and cheeks. In all, he was simply gorgeous. When he didn’t respond, she called out louder “uhm sir” shaking him out of his day dream. “Oh yeah, can I have a chocolate mocha cupcake and a coffee to go please?” he asked, flashing her his infamous cheeky grin. “That will be $4.64 please” she smiled. He place a five on the counter, she turned and reached into the show glass and grabbed a chocolate mocha cake. Placing into a small box, and grabbed a cup of coffee.

She felt like she just got off a rollercoaster when she got home, the day’s work definitely took a toll on her. She took off her sneakers and closed the door, her mind still reeling from the incident that happened earlier on. She walked into the kitchen to fine her cousin, Mira preparing what appeared to be tacos for dinner. One of her favorites. “Hey couz, how was work?” Mira asked her. “It was okay” she shrugged. Mira gave her an unimpressed look “really? Is that all you’re going to give me?” She sighed “look Mia, I’m really tired okay? I’ll give you the details later”“Sooo, why don’t you go up, freshen up, and then we’ll discuss over dinner okay?” She simply nodded and exited the kitchen, heading to her room.

She ignored him “blueberry is also a nice option too, or do you prefer strawberry or butterscotch? And maybe fondant on the outside? It has a great look” He was about to say something, but he was interrupted by the blaring of his phone. He fished the phone out of his pocket and answered it. “What?” he asked gruffly. “I’m in a very important meeting” She snorted. "Just postpone the meeting” he said “I’m occupied at the moment, and please no more of those damn press tours” She was curious about the phone call. Was it his personal assistant? Secretory? She thought. Even when they were in a relationship, Brian had always been really private. “Just twice a week,” he said, frowning “I can’t promise you more than that...Sure” He ended the call and shoved his phone back in his pocket.
