DIAN ANGELO POV

Sybil was seated on the couch beside me and I couldn't help but steal glances at her even as I worked. She was so cute, it messed with my heart- a heart that refused to calm down even when I took deep breaths and tried to relax. This was how it was always meant to be.

The thought of what it took for us to get here was triggering though, and I hated it. We shouldn't have suffered so much.

Sybil had told me about what happened with her parents that led to her losing her memory and it just stoked the fury that I harbored for them. They were living their lives as if they didn't do anything wrong while Sybil had to bear the trauma of everything. I just wanted her to be happy so she didn't have a moment to think of all the bad things she went through. I never wanted her to look sad, or to be lost in thought. I was going to do everything I could to erase all the bad memories because I wanted her to live a free and happy life.
