ALPHA RYDER'S POV____I slowly opened my eyes, blinking against the brightness of the morning light that flooded the room. As the darkness faded my consciousness arose like a ship breaking through heavy fog. Emily's Pov_________After Charia left the living room, I stepped into the room where Ryker was, the weight of the situation pressed heavily upon my shoulders. The door closed behind me sealing us off from prying eyes and lingering doubts. If anyone fears our conversation this might be the end of the whole plan I orchestrated. This encounter was with danger and unpredictability, but it was essential to maintain control, to keep Ryker from unleashing his wrath.
