Chapter Forty nine

Charia's Pov

As we drove through the woods, toward my family's lair, A mix of emotions, a storm of despair. For I had always been rejected, for who I am, My wolf family thought me weak and a sham.

The wind whispers in my ears, as I approach the house,

Memories of the past, come back like a rouse.

As I made my way to my old family's den, my heart raced with nervousness. I hadn't seen them since my last mission, not since they had cast me out of the pack for being "unfit" and "unworthy" of everything, of a mate. I had always been different, slower, and less agile than the other wolves, and they had deemed me too much of a liability to be accepted as one of their own.

Worse of it all, I was their puppet and bait. They had hurt me so much, they didn't deserve any of my forgiveness. But I had no reason to be angry at them if they sheltered me all this while.
