Before getting to the woods, Peter and I tried Emily's number, but her number wasn't connecting. As Peter and I ventured deeper into the woods, our hearts pounding with anticipation, Peter had already started to doubt our decision of trusting Emily, but I tried to assure him that this was fur the best and we were going to get what we were looking for.

We desperately tried to reach Emily, only to find her number unreachable again. A sense of unease grew within me, a nagging doubt clawing at the edges of my consciousness. Still, hope existed as we continued to search for any sign of Ryder, my voice echoing through the trees as I called out his name. I walked around the wet leaves as I tried to find Ryder's scent.
