CHAPTER 20

Angelina POV

I woke up with a sudden sense of doom.

No, I've been dreaming. I saw myself running through the forest. I was eventually able to escape this place and I was running as fast as I could. I was almost at home when I remembered that my father was still held prisoner here.

Then, Winston showed up with my father's head. His head was hanging in his hand. My father was gazing straight at me as if reminding me of the fact that I killed him.

"I told you, Angel. I told you, didn't I? That your father will suffer the consequences of your actions. This is the punishment for escaping," Winston muttered and let out a heartfelt laugh.

I felt the blade in my heart squeeze even tighter. I couldn't stop the tears, I couldn't even stop sobbing.

The door opened suddenly, jerking me out of my reverie. "Luna_," Bentley called softly.

I let out a sigh and turned to look at her. My face was damp with tears and it also felt ragged and dried up, because I had been crying before I fell asleep.
