CHAPTER 59: BLOODY DE JA VU

LILITH’S POV:

Rebecca shrugs casually, not in the slightest bothered by the fact her dearest brother had quite blatantly ignored her without bothering to make it less obvious.

“Well, that’s fine. It’s you I really wanted to talk to.”

“Me?” I point at myself, wondering why she was looking for me.

Her eyes go over my entire attire with a warm smile.

“I love the entire you, simple and chic. You look gorgeous.” She compliments me and it doesn’t sound forced in anyway.

My cheeks go red from the unexpected compliment that takes me off guard.

“Uhm, thank you.”

“No, thank you for coming.” She says, taking a hold of my hand and staring deep into my eyes.

I can almost feel her gratefulness glowing off her skin.

Her niceness is heavily overwhelming and I begin to second guess myself for ever suspecting such a blatantly kind soul.

“I wouldn’t have missed it.” I feel compelled to add.

“Today would have been more than perfect if Kain wasn’t such a stick in the mud though.” She adds, dropping my ha
