CHAPTER 60: DEAD

Kain’s POV

I’m already fed up with this godforsaken party by the time I’ve kept more than a reasonable distance away from the rest of those people.

And that woman…

I refuse to play along in whatever game she’s concocted this time, although it does bother me a bit knowing this time, she seems to have a little interest in Lilith.

Something about that puts me on the edge, wanting to take her away from the scene entirely, but she’s such a stubborn woman and it would entirely have the opposite results I intend.

So, instead, I sit by the fountain all by myself.

It stays like this for minutes, still silence all around me until I hear footsteps slowly approach me.

“Alpha Kain.”

I look to the side and spot Ivan dressed in an all black suit and blazers with both hands in his pocket.

He sits casually right next to me, letting out a tired sigh.

“Shouldn’t you be watching my sister?” I ask with a raised brow.

His secret job was to watch, figure out what her real motive is here besides gossiping wi
