After we departed

The rest of the cruise were beyond olivia's imagination. Her initial plan of staying by the pool all day with a book was nothing compared to the aftermath of their love making. She could never have imagined meeting Liam, nor connecting with him as much as she did.

She had only known him for three days yet it felt like she had known him her whole life. She wouldn't want to mention the sex, it was beyond great. She still couldn't find the right word to describe it, she could only say that they had loads of it after the first time.

She was happy and very satisfied, the cruise turned out to be the healing she needed. And now she also had a promising relationship to go with it, and with a human male at that.

It was time to depart, Liam couldn't believe how reluctant he was to go home. Somehow, he wished he could stay on the cruise forever with olivia. But he had responsibilities, he was an alpha and his pack would always need him.

They had form an attachment, and connected in ways he couldn't explain. He found himself questioning the moon goddess on his choice of mate, despite how hard it was to heal from the mate bond, he would pick olivia over valerie a thousand time and again. And that choice wasn't from a place of pain.

"I'm so going to miss you" Olivia gushed at him, she wrapped her hands around his waist and embraced him tenaciously, hesitant to let go.

"I'm going to miss you too" Liam grunted while pecking her on the lips. He didn't know when he got so used to public display of affection, but with her he wanted the whole world to know that she was his. He still couldn't wrap his head around how he would live without her, and how he had been living without her all this while.

Where had she been all his life?

"What are you going to do after this?" She asked him expectantly as they both disembarked from the ship, luggage in hand with the other hand interlocked. They had become so close they found it painful to let go of one another.

"Go back to my life? I honestly don't know how I've lived without you all my life" Liam said and his heart fluttered as she grinned from ear to ear.

"You are alive Liam. That means you survived without me for so long" she chuckled enthusiastically " what about her? You said you always see her everyday" Olivia asked, referring to the ex he told her about.

Of course Liam couldn't tell her that his mate rejected him, she hated werewolves. So he said the closest thing to the truth, that Valerie had broken their life long commitment to one another. It was true in some sense if you think about it, it just wasn't the whole truth.

His heart pinched at the lie he was about to tell. He wished she didn't detest werewolves so much, he had asked her repeatedly why she loathed them but she had always found a way to change the topic. After many failed attempts, he decided to drop it and just go along with the whole thing.

"Truthfully, after this?" He pointed to their interlocked hands "i don't think it would be quite as painful as it used to be" he replied.

Olivia's uber parked in front of them just as he finished speaking, it was finally time to depart. It was all getting real now, it felt more like a fairy tale than real life while they were on the ship. Probably because they were away from everyone. But now that they were going back to their various lives, it was beginning to get real.

"I guess I'll see you soon then" olivia said as she arranged her things at the trunk of the car. She hoped whatever was going on between them wasn't a one time thing.

"Of course! Call me?" Liam assured her as he bid her goodbye.

"I will" she called out from the receding vehicle.

She missed him as soon as she left, she wondered if it was possible to not have to go. But it was inevitable, each of them had their different lives before they met.

"Nice of you to call after forgetting my existence for so long" She chuckled as she heard her best friends voice over the phone. Henry had always been very sassy and unserious.

"I didn't 'forget' your existence. I went on a boat cruise silly" olivia knew henry forgets things easily, he might as well be an amnesia patient. She remembered vividly how she was so optimistic for an alone time. Only it wasn't so alone.

"You think i don't remember that? How you underestimate me olivia" she grinned at his humor.

Henry had been her best friend since like forever. They met at the shelter home and grew up together, he had become like a brother to her, they had passed through so much and came out strong. They are still as close as ever even after he got married the previous year, to a human female thankfully. A beautiful and gentle lady who is so smitten by him.

Henry didn't share her view of werewolves. He didn't see anything wrong with living peacefully with them no matter how she tries to let him see reasons to.

"You didn't stop perching about how you wanted to be alone for a while. I hope you can let me have my peace now" she heard him exclaim.

Olivia's mind drifted to Liam, how would she tell her friend that she actually met someone who caught her fancy and they had magnificent sex?

"Of course......" olivia drawled absentmindedly in response.

"You didn't get an alone time?" Henry bellowed at her, she knew it wouldn't take long before he caught on that she met someone "what are you hiding olivia?" She could already imagine him with his eyebrow furrowed and focused, eyes piercing deep into her soul like he could read her mind and find out what she was hiding.

She tried to stir the conversation in another direction, so she jumped on the first thing that came to her head "The weather looks so good today. Did you go on a picnic with ivy as you planned?" She asked nervously, looking out the car window to calm her nerves except what she saw didn't calm her nerves at all, it aggravated it.

"Oh my God!" Olivia gasped in astonishment at what she saw on the bill board.
