CHAPTER 24: A MADDENNING DISAPPEARANCE

DAMIEN’S POV:

Few hours earlier….

"Just who the fuck do you think you are?"

I rolled my eyes at my father’s words before placing my chin on my fist. My elbow was perched on the table as I watched my old man pace back and forth.

We were both in his room with my mother; he wanted to have this meeting where he knew absolutely no one could hear us or interrupt us.

I just wanted this to be over so I could get back to Maya. I really was not comfortable leaving her alone for too long.

Not because I was scared something would happen to her while I was away, just because I physically could not be away from her for too long.

Even if I did not mean to, I always found my feet moving to wherever she was. My body called out to her, and my wolf did as well. It was a weird connection I could not explain, and I did not want to.

"Are you even listening to me?" My father’s enraged voice interrupted my blissful thoughts, and I wanted to groan.

How annoying could this man be?
