Lance POV

After Olivia went out to see Eloise, I was bored in the house. Alpha Greg had refused me from performing most of my duties as the beta. He had insisted I took a break from work to be with Olivia who just came back home.

This was the first time I was hearing and experiencing something like that. A beta going on a break without a cogent reason. I would understand if it was just for a day or two but two weeks was way too much.

How would the alpha cope without a beta assisting him?

I couldn't even do my morning rounds on the pack's welfare. This was frustrating.

My business was doing well and there was nothing much to oversee so I basically had nothing to do.

I sat down in my study for the rest of the morning hours flipping through different books and files.

I only stood up from the chair in my study room when it was midday. I was about to take a stroll outside when I felt someone trying to reach me through my mindlink. It was alpha Greg.
