AT12S#3

"Where am I? I need to go home! Let me go! Dad! Mom! Dustin!"

The noise coming from the school clinic was getting attention from the students that were passing by. The commotion grew bigger as the continues shouting of a girl having a nervous breakdown didn't stop. Who wouldn't? After experiencing a life and death situation with your loved one. Adding to that, seeing peculiar creatures with strange powers will surely blow your mind. The girl only wanted to leave but she was forbidden to by the guy who was guarding her.

"Calm down Miss, we won't hurt you." The girl said shyly, she had that psychopathic look on her face.

"If not then why are you detaining me? I need to go back, I'm pretty sure that my parents are worried by now."

"You can't, it's too dangerous." The guy with golden hair along golden eyes said as he walked towards them.

"You! Where is Dustin?! And where did you bring me?"

"The guy you're with? His fine, I brought him to a safe place." Her worries slowly faded but she wanted evidence. "You're currently at Dephaize Academy."

"Why did you bring me here?!"

"Calm her down, Krezza!" A guy with brown eyes that could pierce through your soul said in irritation.

The look on his face shows how unfriendly he is, the thing he hates the most is unnecessary noise. If not tasked by the Headmaster he wouldn't even dare to waste time on a girl. Jamnia went silent as she never heard such majestic husky voice that would make any girl shy. From an angry mob she became silent like mute person, she then realized the embarrassing thing she did.

"Good." The guy sighed as it walked out. "I'll be going, both of you can handle that brat."

"But Clim, Headmaster Burd-." The girl stood frozen as the guy murderously gazed upon her.

"Let him be Krezza, we can do this without him." The guy with golden hair said as he sat beside Jamnia. "It won't be that hard for you to understand, would it?"

Jamnia looked confused as what the guy meant. She only knew one thing, she was in trouble.

--

"I need to escape but how?" She uttered several times already, she needed a plan.

Feeling hopeless, she went to bed and did nothing but watched the ceiling of the room.

After resisting to listen and believe that she was chosen by a star, Jamnia was locked up like a prisoner. She was frustrated of how things have gone, she didn't want the responsibility she was given. They wanted her to believe something that's unbelievable, that magic is real. She herself loves fantasy novels and movies, even anime but she knows the truth. She's not a kid that believes in everything that her elders tell her.

She kept telling them that it was just a misunderstanding but they didn't listen. Without trust from each side nothing was clear, it was like a muddy pool. She didn't believe everything they said despite knowing her life is in danger. She wanted to sue them for every mischief she encountered, her parents was on her mind all this time. She knows how worried they are now, she tried calling them but for some unknown reason connection was unavailable.

Think this through, Jamnia. You're smart enough to make a plan. You're the school's Valedictorian right? Then prove it!

She breathe heavily and victoriously smiled after three hours of thinking she finally thought of a plan.

--

A moonless night, no shadow was seen. Silently, a suspicious figure slowly lurked around the pavements of the school, no one noticing her. Even the guards who watches the area didn't notice how swiftly she passes through each corner. With her skills in hiding, she drew closer to the entrance hoping to get the freedom that she wants. She hissed as she realized how heavily guarded the entrance was.

"Just how strict is this school?!"

She retreated not as a sign of giving up but to further fullfil her plans. This school can't only have one exit does it? She stopped herself from creating even more unnecessary noise as she stepped on a used gum. The tiniest bit of sound she made could become her downfall, she knew the consequences. The guards were fully awake even consuming large doses of sleeping pills would be useless.

Jamnia used her eidetic memory to visualize images that she have seen earlier. She possesses an extraordinary ability that can recall any moment in her life and visualize it. No wonder she almost got the average of 100, she doesn't even need to study just the right use her of unique ability.

Jamnia headed north as she remembered where the students were headed after class. With her doing nothing inside the room, watching every movement of the students was her alas. She knew she needed information to make an escape plan. With the small window having a perfect scenario, she succeeded.

The fast pounding of her heart was the only thing she could hear, she smiled in relief as the guards who are on post are lesser in this part of the entrance. The security features as well is much more easier to evade.

"You can do this, your a strong girl Jamnia!"  She told herself, going outside in the middle of the night was already a big thing for her.

She may look strong in the outside but she's scared deep inside. She had to take risk if she doesn't make a move, who will? Luckily she once trained and got to Palarong Pambansa with her skills in Taekwando. She can spar with the guards in hand to hand combat with her skills.

"She really did came."

"Told 'ya, Miranda is a legit seer."

"Damn, I'll give you the payments later."

Jamnia was confused of what's happening, the guards were slowly falling asleep. The on the spot plan she calculated to escape was no longer in use. She didn't know what to do, she stood there hesitating to run or just to stay put, she knew something was off. Strange flowers grew questionably as it produced pollens that made the guards fall asleep. She was about to stand up but the strange flowers appeared right in front of her, giving off pollens. Her eager soul slowly faded as she felt the eagerness to sleep, she's doing her best to resist. Her eyes slowly closed but she didn't give in, she was already lying on the cold ground.

"Careless." A familiar voice made her senses awaken, she couldn't forget that husky voice.

The flowers beneath her feet slowly turned to ashes, she could feel the heat coming from it. A small portion of the land turn into a pool of lava, fear chilled her spine. Who on earth could do such thing?

The latter saw two feet on her blurry vision as she's regaining consciousness. It was the same guy with the bad temper, he help her stand as Jamnia was in further confusion on what's happening.

"Hey, stop starin' and be alert. They're here for you."

"They're here for me?" She asked in disbelief, she received no response.

Jamnia, a girl with great intellect but can sometimes be slow. She still is ignorant of the things that's happening, she's in great danger because of the power she possesses but she doesn't even know a thing about it.
