Chapter 10

　　Cassie walked into the mansion, it was huge...So huge she had never seen anything like it. She looked around, as they walked in, maids bowed to her - to Luna Emily.

　　She smiled and answered them very well. She was so polite, calm, and gentle. Cassie noticed that Luna Emily was very weak and gentle, was it because she was pregnant? Cassie thought but said nothing.

　　Luna Emily assigned some maids to prepare Cassie’s room and prepare her bath which they did. Cassie didn't know why Luna Emily was being very nice to her, she had just met her and she was already taking care of her.

　　“Cassie, tell me about you? How did you become a rogue?” asked Luna Emily as she took her seat in the living room.

　　Cassie said nothing. The question Luna Emily had asked made her remember Ethan and Luna Monica. She didn't want to talk about it and Luna Emily noticed this.

　　“You don't want to talk about it? It's fine. I understand, it's just the same way I hate to talk about my past. I know you have noticed I am very weak and gentle, I'm a wolf and I am afraid of a snake, something caused it and it's my past but I don't like to talk about it. I understand you and I won't make you feel uncomfortable because I don't like to feel that way either,” she replied and gave a heartwarming smile.

　　Cassie almost burst out in tears. The way Luna Emily talked made her so sad. Aside from that, Luna Emily looked gentle and weak truly and she was a luna which means her mate didn't even mind if she was weak like Ethan did.

　　Sometimes, being mated to each other is not enough. Just because you are mated to each other doesn't mean the love is going to last, it takes a strong man to keep a weak woman.

　　That day, Luna Emily kept Cassie by her side the whole day. They did most of the things together, played games, and talked about high school. Cassie didn't go to high school so she enjoyed listening to Luna Emily’s stories.

　　“Where is your husband?” Cassie asked.

　　“You mean my Bryan? He went to work, he will be back soon. I know you can't wait to see him,” said Luna Emily.

　　“Cassie, can you do something for me?” asked Luna Emily.

　　“What is that?”

　　“Can you sleep by my husband’s side today? I can't sleep with him tonight because I want to be alone for tonight. My husband doesn't like to be alone, it's the one thing he doesn't accept from me. I know it's hard but can you do it for me?” Luna Emily’s face lit up waiting for Cassie’s reply.

　　Cassie looked at her without blinking.

　　“Uhm... I...I don't think it's a good idea. I think you should just explain to him, if he really loves you which I'm sure he does, he will allow you to stay alone,” Cassie mumbled.

　　Luna Emily held her hand.

　　“Cassie, he won't touch you. Just do this for me, I promise -” she hadn't finished her statement when someone walked in. It was a young man, he wore a school uniform and carried a backpack. He looked very angry and dashed to the stairs when Luna Emily called out to him.

　　“Chaster!” she called loudly.

　　Chester paused, he gently turned and looked at her.

　　“Are you okay?” Luna Emily looked worried while the latter wanted nothing but to be away from everyone.

　　“I’m fine!” he retorted and rushed up.

　　Cassie looked at him until he was out of sight.

　　“That is my younger brother, don't mind his behavior, he is going through his teenage age,” she said with a smile and Cassie nodded.

　　She remembered her mom, her mom was pregnant before she was murdered that night. They were expecting a baby boy and she dreamt about it every night, she had always wanted a brother and the moon goddess answered her prayers until that tragic night.

　　Cassie smiled sadly but hid it well so Luna Emily wouldn't notice. Later that day, the duo resumed to her room, Cassie liked the way Luna Emily embraced her as though they had known each other for a long time.

　　While talking with her, Alpha Bryan arrived.

　　He wore a black suit, carried a suitcase and looked tiredly handsome. Cassie saw the handsome man and couldn't help but drool over him.

　　He was so handsome with black orbs and silver linings that made his eyes pop out. Luna Emily stood and hugged her husband. Cassie could only stare and wish she had a better life.

　　Alpha Bryan overlooked Cassie, he only cared about his wife and the baby in her belly.

　　“Did you take your drugs today?” he asked.

　　She smiled and nodded her head.

　　“Meet my new friend, she will be living with us from today. She promised to help me in everything I need,” said Luna Emily with a smile. She turned to Cassie while Bryan’s eyes fell on her.

　　He looked at her with something not different from hatred.

　　“Emily, don't tell me you're going through with your plan?” he mind linked her.

　　“Bryan, please...” Emily said sadly but still smiling at Cassie.

　　Bryan grunted, he picked up his suitcase and walked out. Emily watched his retreating figure until he was out of sight. Sadness washed her face but she pretended well before Cassie.

　　“Do you agree to do it?” asked Emily immediately she sat beside Cassie.

　　Cassie shook her head, Alpha Bryan had looked at her as though he wanted to eliminate her. She saw the way he looked at Luna Emily, he looked at her with so much love. Cassie saw the way he had looked at Emily and the different eyes he had used to look at her. It was so obvious Alpha Bryan didn't like her.

　　“Please, for me. I beg you.” Emily was so convincing that Cassie had no choice but to accept. She took her bath that evening and used Luna Emily’s favorite cologne.

　　She walked into the room and slept beside Bryan gently. The man had slept on the other side of the bed, he wrapped his hand around his chest and closed his eyes in a deep slumber.

　　Cassie gently closed her eyes and turned her back on him while her heart raised higher and higher. She was so scared until Bryan suddenly turned to her.

　　“You are not Emily!” he mumbled

　　Cassie's heart left her chest.
