Xander adjusted the silver-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose, lit a cigarette and said, "You can scram now."

"What kind of person chases a brother away without even giving them a drink after helping them out?" Shawn then sat on a sofa and said, "I'm not leaving today without that drink."

Xander said, "Please pour a drink for Mr. Cooper, Susanna."

"Does Mr. Cooper really need a drink? He doesn't look parched at all," replied Susanna in an unfriendly tone.

Shawn retorted, "Are you trying to bully me as well, Susanna?"

Susanna Whitlock was over fifty and had been with Xander since he was young. Xander and his friends never once saw her as a maid but more of an elder of the family that will occasionally nag at them. Susanna passed over his drink as she replied, "Why are you messing around together with our young master? What do you mean by being already half-divorced? You'd better be careful or Old Madam might just punish you."
