Imposter At The Mall 2

Michael POV

I recall how, from the moment they both came from the restroom, she was wary of me and quite cold with Summer as well. Something was off but I paid no heed. Damn the mate bond. At times it chases away all rationality. I brace myself for what's to come because, my gut feeling tells me it's going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride.

I soften my tone of voice and features as well. I firmly glare at Hermes not to say a word. After which I slowly stand up and sit by her bedside. I reach for her hands and hold them. I try and send waves of calmness to her. Being human, I am not sure if it will work. But it does, much to my amazement.

"Breathe Tania, breathe. I need you to relax ok? I need you to tell me everything you remember or recall that happened at that restaurant. Okay dear. Summer's life is in danger and whatever information you have is of paramount importance."

Little do I know how true this statement is.
