Dalia’s POV

I glared at the gowns sprawled on my bed. They look ridiculous and not suitable for a fashion show/engagement party. It was supposed to be a surprise on Eros' part but Jeffery already let me know about it.

And I am grateful for that.

“I need Emily’s help.” I dialled her number but it went straight to voicemail. She must be busy now because we both agreed to do everything in her house.

Dad’s wheelchair rolled in and I turned away. He hasn’t decided if he should use the crutches or not. “Dad, what are you doing here? I am getting ready.” I pretend to be busy. It was embarrassing to see him here.

“Right.” Dad stared at the gowns in amusement. “You don’t know what to wear and Emily is busy...”
