Riccardo POV:
Cassandra gasped in disbelief after I confirmed to her that we did sleep together last night. It didn't seem like she liked it. That was weird because I'm pretty sure she still had feelings for me. So, why with the sudden repulsion now?
"I should go," she said firmly and stood up again, heading to the front door. She didn't even touch the food I served her.
"Cassie, just eat first. Your car was still near the nightclub. I'll send you there later. Just rest a bit and have some food," I persuaded her to stay but she turned around and showed a disgusted expression on me.
"I don't need to rest. I need to go right now! Don't even try to stop me. I'm leaving!"
I couldn't even understand why she was so angry at me. Seven years had passed and the breakup surely won't be a solid reason to hate each other right now. She moved on quite perfect too. I had always watched over her all this time, she looked fine. Why would she hate me?
"Why are you so angry?" I asked nicely, having no interest to fight with her.
"Why? You asked me why? I should be the one asking right now! Why did you come to the nightclub last night and took me home to your place?! Why did you sleep with me?! Wow... it's so easy to act innocent when you clearly had crossed the boundary. How could you bang me knowing that I won't be okay with it?!" She exploded.
"You're the one who wanted it. You said you wanted to sleep with me," I replied, telling her the truth. She did mean it last night to sleep with me. Well basically, she said that she wanted to try making love with a stranger. Close enough, right?
"Why would I say something like that to you?!" She got angrier.
"I don't know. How am I supposed to know that? Don't pretend like you didn't want it, Cassie. You wore no panties or bra last night. Just that piece of tube dress was on you. Wasn't that a clear sign that you wanted to get laid with someone last night?"
"So what if I am? Why did it have to be you?"
"So, I'm not okay. But any random guy would be okay to fuck you? Is that what you're trying to say?" I asked while glaring sharply at her. Was she being serious? I thought she would be glad knowing that she slept with someone she knew. Instead, she got mad that it was me.
"Yeah! Any guy would be okay! Anyone! Why did it have to be you?! I hated you. You dumped me seven years ago and just disappeared like that! You don't call me or text me! You don't even ask if I'm fine or not! You're just gone! You didn't even care how miserable I was at that time and you never once check on me to see if I'm okay or not. You're an asshole! I fucking hate you," she said with teary eyes.
Her fair cheeks slowly blushed in red and her nose was runny too. She took out a handkerchief from her clutch and wiped her nose a bit before she continued walking to the front door.
"I never dumped you. You wanted to break up and I agreed with it. And I never disappeared. If you have called me or texted me, I would have answered your call and replied to your texts. But you never did that," I defended myself.
She turned her body around again and gave me a smirk. Then she shook her head lightly as if she was disappointed with my words.
"So it was my fault now, huh? Because I never text you or call you, that's why you stayed still, doing nothing about us. You simply gave up on me. Admit it! You gave up on me! Guess what Ricky! I'm a whole new person now. I'm successful, beautiful and living my dream life to the fullest. I got everything I had ever dreamed of by myself! I'm quite happy with my life right now and I no longer need an asshole like you! I'm leaving... I don't want to be associated with you ever again."
She left and slammed my front door hard that the sound echoed across my condominium unit. I stood there behind the kitchen bar counter for a while, having my mind thinking that Monday would be such a shitty day for Cassie. But then, it was not the time to worry so I sat on the bar stool again and just ate my breakfast.
While eating, I called my men and told them to keep a watch on Cassie again. Just like always, since the day we broke up. That was my morning routine, sending men to check on her, making sure she was okay every single day. If only she knew about it.
***
It was Monday. Finally, the day that I had been waiting for had come. Today would be the first day Cassandra started working at my company. The HR manager came into my office room and handed me the employment contract that she had signed.
"Has this been processed?" I asked Mr Reeves about the contract.
"Yes, sir. Miss Moore is now officially one of our employees," he replied politely.
"The desk for my secretary, move it into my office room and place it there," I ordered the HR manager while pointing my finger to my front, referring to the other end of the office as the new place for the secretary's desk.
"Make it facing my desk," I added.
Mr Reeves looked confused, having his brows knitted. But then, I gave him that look, the look of a boss telling his employee silently to not questioned him. He got it right away and quickly did as ordered. A few seconds later, the desk for Cassie was moved into my office and placed where I wanted it to be. Only after that did I ordered Mr Reeves to call her into my office. This would be her first time reporting to me officially as my secretary.
I wondered how Cassie would react. Would she still dare to be rude to me if she knows that I would be her new boss?
It took less than two minutes for Mr Reeves to take her into my office. I signalled the HR manager to leave us alone. Cassie looked confused when the manager left her there. She still had her eyes on that man until he left the office while her steps got closer to my desk.
I stood up from my swivel chair and walked around the desk, then rested my bottom at the front edge of the desk, waiting for her to shift her eyes on me. She slowly turned her gaze forward again and she instantly halted in movements when she saw me.
"Ahhh!!!" Cassie shouted a bit as if she was seeing a ghost and the paper file in her hand was thrown to the floor unintentionally. She gaped at me with her eyes widened in disbelief. Then she blinked a few times as if she couldn't believe what she was seeing in front of her right now.
"No! Not again! This is not right. No!" She said in fret and stormed off from my office room as if someone who tried to run away from a criminal.
Okay. I didn't really expect her to do that. I was a bit dumbfounded but I took it well and handled that situation calmly. I picked up the office phone on my desk and dialled the front desk. Then, I told them to send securities to block the VIP elevator. Cassie would surely use that one to go down because that was the only elevator that could go up to the top floor where my office was.
Cassandra POV:No. This was not happening. How could he be the CEO of RX Corp? Was I even entering the right company building right now?My head was trying to process this mess-up situation while my eyes were wandering around scanning all the notices and advertisements placed inside the VIP elevator. All of them had the RX Corp logo on them. It was certain now, that I really entered the right company building. For the next seconds, I could feel my heart pounding hard and my breath was getting shorter. I kept taking deep breaths, trying to make sure my brain got enough oxygen or else I might faint in here. I'm feeling like I'm having a panic attack. How the hell did Riccardo end up being my new boss? No, the right question would be... How the hell did I end up being his secretary right now? Damn it! I should have checked who was the owner of the company or at least checked who the CEO was. Why did I skip that information and just applied to the job opening here? Why?!I could feel as i
Riccardo POV:"No! Let me go! Let me go!" Cassie tried to push me away. But who were we kidding, right? I'm bigger than her. Of course, she won't succeed in escaping me. This woman was so weird. One second, she acted like she wanted me to touch her. And the next second, she suddenly made it seem like I was forcing her.I locked her hands by grabbing both her wrists using my left hand. And I used my right hand to unzip her black pencil skirt. That piece of covering got loosened a bit and I roughly pulled it down immediately. As expected, no panties down there. I glanced at her and gave her a mocking look."So... you're really planning to seduce your new boss from the first day, huh?" I satirized her, wasn't expecting any answer because it was obvious. She scoffed and looked to her left, avoiding looking me in the eyes. Her face showed a trace of shame, probably felt humiliated that I exposed her dark intention."What were you thinking, Cassie? You were never this easy before..." I whis
Cassandra POV:How did I end up in this situation? Trapped in this office with him having the intention to force himself on me. I grabbed whatever stuff I could find from his desk and just threw them to him, hoping he would not come closer to me.I thought I was succeeding in doing so, but Riccardo suddenly rushed toward me. He pinned me down to the floor and locked my legs from moving. I screamed again, really scared to death of his sudden aggression."Shut up!" He yelled, glaring at me sharply with his dark eyes. That order put me to silence instantly. I gasped for air, feeling suffocated by this situation.Riccardo took off his suit and fully unbuttoned his white shirt. He pulled down his pants and his manhood was exposed. He grabbed my thighs and spread open my legs."Ricky... Ricky, please no..." I begged for him to stop."Give me one good reason why I should trust that you won't run away to that door again?" He asked domineeringly with his sharp gaze piercing into my soul and dy
Riccardo POV:"Please... I won't bother you anymore," she said with both her eyes closed shut, afraid to even see me. I chuckled. It was not like I could eat her alive or anything. Why would she even feel terrified of me that much?"Listen carefully. I'm going to brief you now about your job. Open your eyes and see what I wanted to show you clearly," I replied and she slowly opened her eyes again.I brought her to my desk and then showed her everything that she needed to do for her position. Cassie was a smart woman, it only took her seconds to understand everything that I said.Strangely, I never would expect that she would be this good with her job if it was seven years ago. The Cassandra back then was just a naive lady that rarely stand out. Now, she was just amazing. After all, the HR department was the one who interviewed her before. So, if they managed to shortlist her into the final candidates for this position, certainly there was no question that she was really good and quali
Cassandra POV:"What?" I chuckled. What the hell was he thinking? That I would just agree to live with him after breaking up for seven years?"Don't tell me that you think we're together just because we slept the other day. That was a mistake. That was a void. We're not together," I added and he seemed offended by my words.I could sense the driver peeking at us through the rearview mirror. Ricky signalled him to drive faster. He talked no more and just looked out the window avoiding meeting my gaze. His expression was strange, looked as if he was disturbed about something. We arrived at the company and Ricky did not talk with me the rest of the day. I wondered if he was being moody because of the things I said to him in the car. What would he expect anyway? That I would just fall into his arms and accept him again after he gave up on our relationship seven years ago. It was a painful experience for me, and now that I met him again, I didn't even know what to think. I didn't know if I
Riccardo POV:I never knew that Cassandra could be so scary until she threatened to kick my balls. It was quite funny actually, the fact that this tiny woman dared to threaten me. She didn't even know who I truly am. My true identity was still unknown to her. I still couldn't figure out how I should open up with her. But sooner or later, I ought to tell her about it. She deserved to know the real reason why I chose to give up on her seven years ago. It was not because I didn't love her enough. It was because I loved her so much, that I didn't want to risk her safety by being with me.Cassandra entered her apartment building and I followed her from behind, distancing myself about five meters away. She disappeared into the elevator and I deliberately waited until that thing moved up. Then I took the next trip and reached level seven. Cassie was very superstitious about the number seven, it was her lucky number, so she ended up buying an apartment unit on that level.Since I already knew
Cassandra POV:My front door was finally opened and we both peeked outside. It was just Dome, Ricky's bodyguard. What a joke? Why would he act so vigilant over opening a door?"Sir, your clothes and food for dinner," Dome said seriously. That guy was really scary to be looked at. He never smiled. I couldn't help but felt hostile toward him.Ricky opened the door fully this time and Dome leaned over to give the stuff he brought to Ricky. There were a few pieces of suits and casual clothes with hangers and Ricky gave them to me, signalling me to put them away. To where? To where, Ricky? Did you expect me to put these in my wardrobe? I gaped at him in disbelief. Did he plan to stay at my house for a few days?Ricky took the food from Dome and closed the front door again. He swiftly went to my dining table and carefully served the food on it. I still gaped at him while holding all his clothes, staring at him to demand his explanation."What?" He met my gaze and asked like he was the confu
Riccardo POV: She was scared. I could feel it. I wasn't that clueless to not notice the change in her attitude after I took out my gun. I didn't really mean to scare her. The gun really messed with my posture when I sat. It was pinching my back. Initially, I had no intention to show it to her. But then again, she would see it anyway if I am to take a shower later. She would freak out even more if she saw it without me around. She probably would think that I might try to kill her. The last thing I want was to come out of the bathroom and get hit by some object from her. So, it was better that she knew it this way. Save me a lot of unnecessary trouble and she too looked more obedient now. Cassandra told me to go take a shower. Well, I guessed that was her hint that I'm allowed to stay for the night. I left her alone in the kitchen and went to her bedroom, using her personal bathroom. Certainly, there was another bathroom in that apartment. It was a three-bedroom and two-bathroom reside
