"What was that about?" I glanced at the twins with a puzzled expression.

"That's just Sam. He's always weird" they said together.

I shrugged it off, "He said I saved him from his brother?."

"Yes, that guy you pushed off him in the morning is his half brother. North Hale!. And that is Sam Hale" More said dreamily, "You really have guts messing with North, he'll get you back for it though."

"I'm not afraid of some random high school bully. Tell him to bring all he's got" I said indignantly.

Ever had a dreamy look in her eye, "If I were you I would be scared. North is the most popular guy in the whole of crescent valley. And also the dreamiest. He plays tennis. Oh you should just see him swimming. Like we said in the morning, you messed with the wrong guy!."

"Loan said this school belongs to his father?."

"Late father" More whispered as we began to head out of school. I completely ignored the weird looks I was getting as I walked, I just tried my best to blink so my red eyes became barely visible.

"And that girl that was behind him?."

"Oh that's Angela. And before you ask, NO she's not his girlfriend. She's the only girl he'll talk to or even look at since she has been his best friend even before they could wolf ou....I mean walk" More ended with a cough.

Ever was still in dreamland, "I wish I could be his long awaited Luna!."

"Luna?" I gasped turning to More. More stuttered thinking of what to say but Knight and loan interceded us.

"If it ain't supergirl" Loan said standing behind Knight. His brown curly hair dangling over his brown forehead.

More and Ever stared at them like they would bite off their heads.

"What do you want?" More asked knight. Knight ignored the twins and faced just me.

"Relax, he's not even talking to you short peeble" Loan said in scorn and stuck out his tongue like a kid.

Knight was staring deeply at me like he was in a trance, just like in the morning, "I like your eyes" his deep voice came out soft and nice.

"Hm...hm...I hmm...thank you. Are you also a border knight?" I stuttered not knowing what to say and not wanting to be awkward.

"Yes I am."

"You must probably have heard of the Party More and Ever are going to, are you going with your hmm girlfriend Juliet?."

More and Ever exchanged looks, "No, he's definitely not invited."

"Pull your horses. I would be caught dead there" knight tore his eyes away from me for the first time to answer the twins.

"We don't want you there either," they yelled.

I felt myself being dragged off by the twins before I could wave to Knight.

When we got to the dorm, I found most of my stuff more upside down than usual and my special necklace was missing. I searched all my stuff and inside the entire dorm with the twins but found nothing, our fourth roommate Dais was nowhere to be found.

"We promise to help you look for it again when we get back" More and Ever said together as they got ready to go to their Party.

I groaned ripping my wig off my head!. The necklace was my father present, it was together with a bracelet. He had given it to me right before he died and sometimes I could hear him talking to me through the necklace. Now the necklace was missing!, I almost cried but kept myself still, I had a feeling I would eventually find it.

And also, I still had the bracelet he gave me.

I gave up looking for it and sat on my bed with my phone. There were several missed calls from my mother and brother. I immediately deleted my call history without bothering to call them back.

Then, after a snack of Pringles and diet coke, I got a call from an unknown number.

"Hello?. Mum, I'm not coming back!" I thought it would be her mother calling with a different phone number.

"Well would you mind looking down your window?."

"Knight?" I asked, recognizing the voice.

"Yeah?."

"How'd you get my number?."

"A little bird gave it to me. Also I might have made Loan go into the principal's office to check the student information book."

I laughed out loud.

"Now please look out your window before I freeze to death."

I jumped off my bed, made sure my wig was in place and went to open my window. There, standing under the clear moonlight with spiky red hair and glowing red eyes was Knight.

"Did you get my dorm address from the student's book too? You know you could be called a pervert for standing at the back of the ladies dorm at this time of the night."

"Ehhh!. Come down. I got something for you" he hung up and waved at me.

I climbed down from my dorm room and ran outside to meet Knight. .

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Hey!" I laughed awkwardly. Gosh I've never been goofy about a guy.

"Hey. Hmm. Since it's a NO for the party. I figured we could as well just sneak out and get a snack or something. I mean unless you're a good girl and can flunk school for a night."

"Good girl?. Screw that!. I'm totally in if you've come up with the perfect plan to leave this place."

"Oh I have!. Loan is waiting outside school with a car already."

"Fine. Let's go unless you're suddenly a pussy."

"Ohhh" knight cooed in amusement.

Knight was clad in all black, a black hoodie, black jeans and black shoes. But his red eyes and hair are still outstanding.

"Let's go then."

"After you, my lady."

"No!. Lead the way dummy!. I don't know anywhere here."

We both laughed and the knight led me away from the dorm and to a fence.

"Behind this fence is Loan's car, all we have to do is jump, okay?. Climb on my shoulder."

"What do you think I am?. A cockroach?. I can jump over this tiny thing."

"Hm, your boyfriend taught you?."

"Ex boyfriend."

"Hmm I see!."

"Is your girlfriend coming?."

"No. Just me and you. Now on the count of three we jump. 1 2 3."

Something peculiar happened, we both jumped at the same time and landed at the same time over the not too low fence.

"Wow, you weren't kidding."

"I'm more than just mouth Jessica," I winked at him.

Me and knight got into Loan's car and knight drove.

"Where are we going exactly?."

"Don't laugh. It's the best pie restaurant I could find," knight said shyly.

"Pie?."

"What?. I'm an introvert. I barely go anywhere and it's the only place I could think of in such a short time."

I took off her jacket, "You're saying you don't hang out with Loan?. Or Juliet?."

"No."

"Geez, how did you ask her to be your girlfriend then?."

"It was the other way around," he said with a wink.

"Pie place here we come" I placed both hands on my wig pretending to enjoy the air but inwardly just stopping it from falling.

"Your eye?" He asked.

"What's wrong with them?" I asked, feeling shy.

"Nothing. Nothing. It's just that, hmm. It's like mine."

"I figured. Been trying to get it to black since forever."

"Why?."

"Well because it's Red. It gets too much attention and it stands out from everyone else."

"What is bad about that?."

"Everything."

"It's not bad for me. I like my red and I'm showing it to the world. Why be like everyone else?."

I couldn't think of anything smart to say.

Knight drove us to The Krispy Pie place at the west of crescent valley.

"Here we are"

"Smells good" I could smell the delicious food from the parking lot.

"Taste even better. Let's go in."

We went into the restaurant and managed to find seats in front of the counter. The restaurant was surprisingly full.

"You're in my seat!" Someone yelled over my head just immediately I sat down..

I glanced up to stare into a pair of angry blue eye that looked strangely familiar..
