We found her body on the ground but her head was hung on the ceiling, her hair used as ropes.

The scene before us was mortifying. When I was called down as a state of emergency, I thought it was because Elena had tried to kill herself or she had decided to sell me the truth about Rowan. I hadn’t been expecting this.

From the gate, the two guards that had been placed at the gate were on the floor motionless and there was no blood around them.

“They’re dead, Alpha.” Lucian declared.

I checked again to be double sure. He was right, they were dead.

I walked past them, walking deeper into the cell when I began to see the liquid around me. It was like a stream, flowing from a headless source.

Her body lay on the floor, in the pool of blood and there was still blood dripping from her head to the floor.
