ROMAN

I hated the look that was in her eye as I dressed up. As much as I didn't want to look at her because I knew that it would make me weak in the knees, I just couldn't bring myself not to.

I knew her fears and I shared in her fears.

No matter what happened out there today, I will make sure that I came back for her.

I won't leave her to raise my kids alone. I won't leave her all alone with no one to help her. She needed to be cared for.

As I held her, about to say my goodbye, there was a loud bang below us and I immediately pulled her into me to shield her from whatever it was.

”What was that?! Roman!”

I quickly got to my feet and dragged her into the bathroom.

“Stay here, don't come out until it's all over."

She refused to leave my hand.

”Roman, please.”

I kissed her like it was my last time.

”I’ll be back, baby. I promise."

I closed the door and ran out of the room, locking it behind me in case someone decided to come up here.
