Chapter 24

I couldn’t believe Bernardo was standing in front of me. Neither could I believe that he came because he wanted me back and what was even more crazy about the whole thing was that I wasn’t going crazy after all. The crazy man found a way to get in my head. All the times I thought I was hallucinating; it had been him. He somehow, I don’t know how but he got into my head. I tried to push him out and it worked. But I could tell that it was only going to work for a short while. I didn’t know what he did to me.

“Why can you hear my thoughts?”

I fired at him. He tried to come near me again but I raised my hands up to stop him. I didn’t want him near me because I was scared that I might give in if he touched me. I already made a fool of myself by being worried for him when Hillan had hit him. I should have let Hillan throw him out. Instead, I let him leave us to talk. I had nothing to say to Bernardo.

“But you wanted him to come back,”

My wolf chirped. She didn’t even hold a grudge
